The Port of Rotterdam is getting smarter

The Port of Rotterdam Authority manages an area of more than 12,500 hectares and owns approximately 89 kilometres of quay walls.

Responding to new wishes, ambitions, regulations and scale increase, the port of Rotterdam focuses on a smarter digital infrastructure, such as mooring poles with sensors, drones in the port area, self-steering sea-going vessels, smarter dredging, satellite data for container cranes and quays, smart dolphins and so on.
